Our History

In 1964, Emil Ewald had a vision of building a successful automotive dealership group. He was able to develop this vision and see it through by surrounding himself with people who were passionate about serving their customers, who were driven to succeed and did what it took to keep the business moving forward through innovation and adaptation to the community that he served.

Over time, Emil’s four sons developed the same passion for the auto industry and became as involved, if not more, than their father to grow EAG to what it is today. With 6 retail dealership locations, Airstream RV Sales and 9 brand franchises, in addition to our sister companies – Mayfair Rent-A-Car (with 10 local offices) and Mayfair Leasing, our company has the ability to service any type of client, from consumer purchase to company fleet management, from service and maintenance to auto body and paint repair, from rental replacement vehicles to parts and accessories. Our group can do it all!

Now, the third generation of the Ewald Family is making an impact on our customer’s experiences. Each of the four of them are navigating the business in their own way, evolving the organization in a dramatically changing world. It is a rare find to have three generations collaborating and guiding the company forward to meet the needs of our one true focus – the customer.
